Tourism Queensland Launch Swinging New Campaign
Tuesday 1st Sep 2009
The Post Lounge have recently caught “Monkees Fever”. Thankfully it’s nothing like the movie “Outbreak”, just part of our dedication to Tourism Queensland’s latest TVC campaign. The four TVCs were launched last week by premier Anna Bligh and feature personalities from the highly successful ‘Best Job in the World’ campaign incorporating an amended version of the Monkees’ theme tune; re-recorded as “Hey Hey this is Queensland”.
Directed by Jack Wareham, the ads were shot across seven days at ten of the state’s most picturesque locations. Each of the four ads has it’s own individual theme, focusing on Islands and Beaches, Adventure, Lifestyle, and Nature.
The commercials are just one part of the latest campaign to drive domestic tourism and protect more than 119,000 state tourism jobs. You can watch the ads in full as well check out Jack Wareham's Director's Spotlight article in our Projects section.
