Matt Dye Receives BAD Person of the Year Award

The Post Lounge's very own Matt Dye was lucky enough to receive BAD Person of the Year, for his tireless work over the last 4 years on the committee. In winning this prestigious award, Matt confirms his status as one the industry's most loved and respected characters, and The Post Lounge could not be prouder to have him on our team. Interview with Matt Dye

Congratulations Matt on winning BAD Person of the Year! You have worked tirelessly over the last 4 years for BAD, what has been your involvement this year? 

There are probably too many things to list. In short, all I did was put my hand up at the start of the year to be on the committee, and kept it up all year doing what ever was needed of me. 

Did you have any idea you were up for BAD Person of the Year?

Not at all... I didn't really know what was going on... I heard my name and went up on stage straight away, then it all clicked... It's the greatest honour I've received so far in my career. I think every BAD Awards Ceremony should finish up giving me something like that.

How did you find this year's Awards night?

The awards itself, was great. The sit down dinner makes a big difference, and should happen every year. XXXX isn't my favorite beer, although if you drink enough of them you can't taste it as much. But when it's free, you won't hear me complain. Brisbane as a town should be very proud of itself. Even whilst setting up the judging weekend I knew it was going to be a big year for Silver and Golds.
