Elephant Makes Noise at Awards
Tuesday 15th Dec 2009
The Elephant Princess has taken out the 2009 Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Children's Television Drama at last weekend's star-studded ceremony. The highly successful international television series, produced by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions stars Australia Zoo's resident elephant, Siam and follows the story of Alex Wilson, an everyday teenage girl who suddenly discovers she is a princess of a mystical world. The show features stunning visual effects by none other than The Post Lounge and their award winning VFX team. Presently filming series two on Queensland's Gold Coast, Jonathan Shiff was delighted with the award. 'It's a great honour to win this award for the first series of The Elephant Princess. It's always ambitious filming with animals and they don't get much bigger than Siam. We had a fabulous cast and crew and we had lots of fun combining magic, music and drama'.
The Post Lounge congratulates Jonathan M. Shiff Productions on this prestigious win and is looking forward to commencing work on the next installment!
