A Jucy Start to 2010

Monday 18th Jan 2010

The Post Lounge is kicking off the New Year with the commencement of the post production on Australian feature film, Jucy. Jucy, a womantic comedy from Director, Louise Alston (All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane) was shot in Brisbane over January 2009 with the generous support of Screen Queensland and many local community groups and members. The story follows the antics of best-friends-forever Jackie & Lucy (Jucy), who share the world’s greatest ‘womance’, a platonic relationship based on the real life close friendship between the two lead actresses, Francesca Gasteen and Cindy Nelson. Fresh from the offline suite, the Jucy team, including Producer Kelly Chapman, are eagerly anticipating the commencement of post production which will bring together a realisation of the last 18 months of planning. Kelly explains, ‘We shot JUCY on a P2 camera with prime lenses, up-resed in camera to give us the maximum data for manipulating in post. We're looking forward to exploring how far we can push our images in The Post Lounge's Nucoda grading suite’. Jucy will be released globally in April and offers audiences a great story with a lot of heart.
