Your Worst Animal Nightmares set to scare on Fox 8

Discovery Channel described Your Worst Animal Nightmares as some of the best re-enactments ever created for a real life documentary series. One look at this nail-biting series produced by Sunshine Beach Pictures confirms why.

In Australia over the past 30 years there has been a number of spectacular fatal and near fatal animal attacks that have shocked Australia and the world.This 6-part series delves into the most incredible attacks by some of Australia’s most dangerous predators.

Through dramatic recreations, each Your Worst Animal Nightmares story is relived as it happened using professional actors and interviews with the people who witnessed or were subject to the attacks. It investigates with experts how the tragedy happened, if it could have been prevented and where the fault lies - with animal or human.Your Worst Animal Nightmares recently screened to strong reviews in the US. One reviewer stated, “The realism and willingness to deal with actual death is the reason why Your Worst Animal Nightmares is the best show of its type that I have seen, and I’ve pretty much seen them all”.

Director John Stainton said, “Animal Planet in the US loved the look of the show and in particular the treatment and style of the graphic design created by Phill Radford."Phill, Senior Designer at The Post Lounge stated "Broadcast design packages are my specialty. I have been designing graphics for John Stainton’s television shows since The Crocodile Hunter, Croc File, Croc Diaries and Bindi the Jungle Girl. I always enjoy collaborating with John in developing title packages, particularly on this project, which is one of my favourites."The Post Lounge worked with Stainton on the title design and creation as well as the on-line and colour grade for the series.

“The grade was really important. We were using at lot of different footage formats from HD re-enactments, to home video of actual events as well as news clips, some of which are up to 30 years old. The Nucoda suite brought all those sources together and made sure that at no time, did the differences in vision detract from the drama. It had one overall look, feel and style that was seamless” commented Stainton.

Your Worst Animal Nightmares will screen June 3 - July 8 Thursday 8.30pm on Fox8 in Australia with plans for release in UK, Europe and Africa later this year. Make sure you watch it with the lights on!
