Surf-Crazed Aliens Invade TPL

Wednesday 5th Oct 2011

Jonathan M. Shiff Production’s (JMSP) much awaited drama series Lightning Point has launched in Cannes, France this week at the world’s largest entertainment content market, MIPCOM.

The children’s series follows the story of two irrepressible girls from another galaxy who become castaways in the quiet, Australian seaside town of Lightning Point.

Shot on location on Queensland’s Gold Coast in late 2010 through to mid 2011, Lightning Point promises to entertain global audiences through it’s winning mix of fun, fantasy and surf-crazy alien teens.

The Post Lounge visual effects and post production team are currently hard at work bringing the world of intergalactic teen drama, alien powers and adventure to life. Steve Tedman, Senior Compositor, said "This series has proven to be one of JMSP's most challenging yet. Having to design UFOs, plasma transitions, and light and energy effects was time consuming, but well worth it in the end. The show looks amazing!"

Lightning Point will be coming to screens in Australia on Network Ten and once again looks set to thrill international audiences, following in the recent global success of other JMSP series’, H2O: Just Add Water and The Elephant Princess.
