Backup/Archiving
The Post Lounge works extensively with innovative media storage solutions that have been eagerly embraced by many of our clients. For supreme reliability, we backup your media and project archives to LTO-3 data tapes. LTO-3 tapes offer the utmost durability, particularly in comparison to hard drive storage. Each cartridge has a shelf life of 30 years and can hold up to 800GB worth of data including footage, project files, graphics, the whole shebang. For further investment in your data, we also offer SD or HD tape play-outs of your rushes to many varied broadcast tape formats.
File Conversion
The data age continues to blossom from a young inexperienced rookie with discipline issues, into the dangerous club captain we knew it would one day become. With this, the range of digital cinematography cameras continues to grow, and subsequently we are seeing a trend towards proprietary capture formats and footage codecs. Our exclusive systems ensure there is no compromise, as we convert your rushes footage into a format suitable for your preferred editing platform, grading or online suite. We deal with all data in its native resolution of up to 4K, to allow maximum scope when grading and best quality for mastering. Rest assured that whatever camera is deemed “the new black” we can handle the footage with ease and professionalism.
