Our tapes room can fulfil a comprehensive range of dubbing requirements. We offer a wide range of broadcast and consumer formats including, HD-CAM SR, HD-CAM, HDD5, HDV, XD-Cam, Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, DV-Cam, MiniDV, VHS & DVD. Your order will be managed by qualified technicians, who ensure fast turnaround and quality assurance. Plus, we promise not to make fun of your early nineties haircuts, childhood nudity or that video your father took of you falling off your bike.
Quality Control
The Post Lounge can provide independent technical and quality assessment of your programs and content, to ensure your work adheres to the necessary technical standards required around the world. Our Quality Control reports will detail how well your product adheres to international broadcast standards, including video, audio and timecode, amongst even more scary things you never knew existed.
In many circumstances, we also offer the means to correct and legalise material found to be outside the specifications deemed passable by your distributor.
Captioning
TPL: (clears throat) The Post Lounge works in partnership with Red Bee Media Australia and Adstream Australia to provide captioning services with fast turnarounds, to advertisers, filmmakers and other content producers.

Closed captioning your broadcast material opens your product to a very large, otherwise unrealised audience of 3.5 million deaf and hearing impaired Australians. (Gasps) Language translation, subtitling and voiceover services in over 80 languages are also available.

Hard Drive
Tapes…. Sooooo 20th century. For the ultimate in mobile storage and backups, The Post Lounge can capture your video and audio as uncompressed and broadcast quality footage to supply on an external hard drive. From a multitude of SD and HD tape formats, we can help you make the giant leap into a tapeless environment. We can also backup your backups, by copying footage to reliable LTO data tapes which can store up to 400GB of footage onto a palm sized cassette. The future is now! Conversely, if your material has originated as data, we can also output from hard drive or disc to broadcast tapes and viewing copies.
CAD Approval
Legislation requires that all television commercials and infomercials be classified in line with an industry code of practice before broadcast will be granted. Ever wondered what happened to that guy from the Demtel ads? He didn’t get CAD approval. Thank God.
The Post Lounge has direct satellite links to Free TV’s classification division, Commercials Advice (CAD) to ensure swift delivery and evaluation of your content.
Our Producers can also manage your application paperwork and liaise with you on feedback and issues from CAD.
FTP Hosting
Why pay ridiculous courier fees when the information superhighway can do all the work at a fraction of the cost and time. Efficient communication with our overseas and interstate clients is of the essence. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a super fast method of exchanging data over the internet and getting your material out for instant review and despatch. Our unparalleled speeds will keep your clients in constant touch, with 24/7 online access to their material over both short and long term periods. Alas, there is no escaping the wrath of your client’s critical eye no matter how far away they are. At least you still get to work in your pyjamas though.
DVD Duplicaton
You could stay up all night, changing discs every time Toast makes that ding sound, but why not just get us to do the dirty work for you? Using only the most professional DVD stock, our team knows the requirements and specifications required to ensure your product appears at its best on DVD for your client. Choose from a range of labelling and packaging options for your authored DVD or video DVD dub.
Adstream
So you’ve finished your TVC. Now, how to get it on air? The Post Lounge has partnered with Adstream to supply a streamline digital system for TVC and radio despatch throughout Australia & New Zealand. With direct satellite access to all free to air and pay television and radio networks, we’ll manage your booking requirements from Ingest to Delivery through an efficient online system. Easily the simplest and most cost effective solution around until someone invents a way of implanting ads into people’s brains via telepathy… that’d be cool.
Video Encoding
Know the difference between H.264 and H.263? We do! The Post Lounge is equipped with a comprehensive range of platforms to encode, transcode and convert your video and audio files into virtually any format and file size. From Quicktimes, MPEGs, Flash Video, AVIs, WMVs & MP3s (to name a few), we offer streamlined service & delivery - from the smallest web banner to the largest cinema screen.
Restriping
Sound guys are great, but there’s one thing they don’t have: deodorant… I mean tape decks. Analogue and digital final mixes and other audio tracks can be re-striped through our facility to meet a wide range of audio delivery requirements. From DAT and other broadcast tape formats to digital files such as wavs and aiffs, we’ll ensure your master is monitored for sync and quality checked on completion.
