VFX Supervision
Make sure that time allocated for post production is used to enhance the final outcome, rather than to fix mistakes that occurred when shooting. Employ the use of one of our experienced VFX Supervisors. We will come equipped on set to assist with greenscreen shoots, tracking markers, collecting data and generally working closely with the Director to supply visual effects consultation and advice. As meatloaf once sang “I can do anything in post, but I can’t do that”.
Rotoscope
The success of many visual effects shots is in the seamless integration of the rotoscope work completed. We offer this real time tool throughout all our compositing platforms to enhance what you are not able to achieve through a camera. Our technicians work in conjunction with our senior compositors to achieve a consistently high level of results, and pride themselves on their attention to detail. We hate to bring up sabotage again but you can’t argue with the facts.
Matte Painting
When physical locations place limits on what you are able to achieve on set, our designers & matte painters can create an artificial environment or virtual set. Also very useful for covering up lies or sabotaging the people you hate.
3D Animation
Here at The Post Lounge we use the award winning 3D software Maya, utilising real world physics, unique modelling and character animation tools including fluid, cloth, fur and particle effects - all rendered on our 64-bit render farm.
If water's your thing, let The Post Lounge get you wet with Real Flow, the industry standard in water simulation software. If it's a single droplet of rain falling to the ground, or the Hoover Dam bursting, you'll stay nice and dry while our team brings your vision to life.
We also use BouJou to 3D track and match move almost anything you shoot. So that Octopus riding a unicycle down a flight of steps filmed by an epileptic DOP will stick perfectly to the ground. When you show Nanna your latest film or commercial she'll be amazed that you could actually direct Squidy to perform so well!

A vital step in all long format work originating on film, neg dirt removal also plays an important factor in most other broadcast work. Our digital dust busting and painting tools make for speedy and accurate results. It’s like giving your footage a bubble bath.
Flame, Flint & Shake
Strange names for some very useful tools!
Flame is a high end digital effects and compositing suite and offers a sophisticated range of features including Editing, Colour Warper, Modular Keyer, 2D Motion Tracking, Paint, Text and 2D/3D integration. Using an unlimited number of layers and effects this suite can handle the most complicated task. With real-time high definition input/output this suite is ideal for all complicated conforming and compositing. It is not a hot glowing body of burning gas.
Flint is an advanced visual effects system that is perfect for any design project. It is an outstanding design, editing and compositing suite that boasts an industry-leading range of graphics, 2D/3D animations, text, colour correction and stunning visual effects. It is not a piece of fine grained quartz shaped into a tool by prehistoric people.
Shake is a high performance compositing product and extremely high speed image processing tool. It offers a range of 2D features for film, broadcast and multimedia effects applications. It is not a milk-based beverage often found at diners.
