Some of the biggest film and television productions in the country are being made in Queensland, and our Woolloongabba studio is where a lot of that magic happens. We're looking for a Senior Post Producer to take the lead in Brisbane: someone to build the client relationships, run a busy slate and help grow the studio from here.
Who we are
The Post Lounge is an independent, Australian-owned, full-service post house. We've been doing this since 1979, and in addition to Brisbane we have studios in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast. Our credits include Elvis, Better Man and Eden, alongside Academy Award®, Emmy and AACTA-winning work. We cover the whole pipeline: dailies, editorial, colour and DI, online, VFX, sound, finishing and mastering. We're also part of a wider group with production, VFX and international partnerships, so the work you bring in can go further here than at most facilities.
The role
You'll run multiple projects at once, from the first enquiry to final delivery and the budget reconciliation that follows. That includes feature films, drama and documentary series, and everything in between. You'll:
- Win the work and keep it. You'll be the person directors and producers call first, and the reason they come back for the next one.
- Build the quote and the workflow. You'll work with our colourists, editors, VFX supervisors and sound team to scope projects accurately and plan workflows that actually hold up.
- Run the slate. You'll manage schedules, crew, contractors and suites, and keep every project on time, on spec and on budget.
- Own the numbers. You'll handle cost tracking, client updates, invoicing and WIP reporting. You'll know where every job stands.
- Guard the delivery. You'll understand broadcast and theatrical specs well enough to spot problems early, solve them quietly and deliver clean.
- Lead from the ground. You'll mentor producers and coordinators, help set the tone in the studio and represent TPL at screenings, premieres and industry events.
About you
- You have several years of producing experience in long-form facility post production, and a client base that trusts you
- You're highly organised, you notice the details and you stay calm when deadlines stack up
- You understand post workflows and delivery specs, and you're keen to learn new technology
- You're commercially sharp: you can quote accurately, manage a budget and raise overages early
- You pitch in wherever it helps. Nothing is beneath you if it gets the job over the line.
